Fra Bartolomeo,

actually Bartolommeo di Paglia del Farto rino, also known as Baccio della Porta (born March 28, 1472 in So ffignano of Florence, died. October 31, 1517 in Florence), painte r of the Italian Renaissance. In 1484, was a pupil of Cosimo Ross elliego, then Ghirlandaio, who studied painting. The workshop Rosselliego met Mariotto Albertinelliego with which it merged friendship. In 1490 they founded their own workshop. At the end of the 90s has been an advocate of the Florentine preacher Savonarola and entered the Dominican convent of San Marco, taking the name Fra Bartolomeo.
